Guess Who?
New Character Sheets
Remember the old game Guess Who? It’s still a great way to practise language skills. The newer version of the game, however, doesn’t have all the little cards to place in the slots of the board, but rather full game sheets that you slide in with one easy step. And even better, there are different versions of characters that kids will love, and that allow new vocabulary to be incorporated. Below are links to printable versions of the character sheets free for game users. Just click on one of the characters to see the page and print it.

Wordle: using word clouds in a lesson
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends. Here, Colleen Young provides a LiveBinder with many more resources.
